Vegan boots in 3D: how to communicate the interior materials

Find out how 3D visualization helps Beflamboyant showcase their vegan and eco-friendly boot materials. Immerse yourself in the world of 3D visualization and discover its impact on the marketing of sustainable products.

Why creating a 3D visualization of boots?

Beflamboyant is a company dedicated to the manufacture of vegan and ecological footwear.

The materials used in the manufacture of their shoes are their greatest value and they wanted a new and different way to communicate this to their audience. A more effective and impressive way.

The challenge of showing internal elements

Showing elements of similar colors or internal is a challenge when using photography to communicate specific product characteristics. This was the case with the vegan and eco-friendly boots that are one of Beflamboyant's flagship products. They asked us to represent 6 different elements of the boot.

Internal elements such as material layers, stitching, and reinforcements are an integral part of the boot's construction and can influence its appearance, comfort, and durability. Displaying them clearly on a 3D visualization requires a careful approach.

The solution

To be able to show all the elements in a clear way we decided to make an exploded view.

By exploding the layers in various directions we were able to separate the surface and internal elements so that they were clearly identifiable.

We created the visualization in two formats to facilitate its use in different channels and situations:

How we created the render

To create the render and animation we used Blender modeling program.

These are the steps that followed:

  1. Collect references: in order to model the boot we needed images from different angles and photos of details.
  2. Modeling: we created the shape and structure of the boots, making sure that all elements, such as the sole, upper, laces and design details, were convincing and well scaled.
  3. Texturing: once the modeling was complete, we applied textures to the boots to give them a realistic look. This gave them an authentic appearance consistent with the actual materials used in the make of Beflamboyant's boots.
  4. Lighting: lighting is a key element to achieve a realistic render. We simulated natural light and created realistic shades and reflections on the boots.
  5. Rendering: once the boots were modeled, textured, and well lit, we proceeded to the rendering. The camera angle and rendering quality were adjusted for the best result, making sure the boots looked sharp, detailed, and realistic on final display.

How can 3D visualization help sell boots?

3D visualization allows the characteristic materials of vegan and eco-friendly boots to be displayed digitally in a clear and visually appealing way. Customers can see how the materials are combined in the design of the boots, understand their quality and appreciate their sustainability. This helps convey the company's message about the importance of the materials used in its products and helps build trust with customers.
